Mengi Yay Unveils Serenissima II: A 47m Masterpiece of International Design and Engineering
Turkish shipbuilder Mengi Yay has proudly launched Serenissima II, the second installment in its acclaimed sub-500GT Serenissima series. The 47-meter luxury motor yacht, also known as project NB 112, was launched from Mengi Yay’s cutting-edge shipyard in Istanbul, marking another milestone in the brand’s continued evolution in the world of high-end yachting.
This launch follows closely on the heels of her sistership, Serenissima I (S1), which debuted in August 2024 and made a notable appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show. With Serenissima II now afloat, Mengi Yay cements its position as a leader in crafting refined vessels that blend artisanal detail with cutting-edge technology.
A Tri-National Collaboration of Excellence

Like the first in the series, Serenissima II is the result of an international design collaboration. The sleek exterior and stylish interior are crafted by Italian design studio Nuvolari Lenard, while the innovative naval architecture is handled by Van Oossanen Naval Architects from the Netherlands. According to Mengi Yay, the vessel stands as a “refined synthesis of artisanal and technical excellence from three nations.”
Built for Long-Range Exploration and Mediterranean Living
Constructed with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, Serenissima II is engineered for long-range cruising while maintaining a strong focus on the Mediterranean lifestyle. Her design emphasizes expansive deck space, a generous layout, and the ability to transition seamlessly between leisure and exploration.
With a beam of 8.85 meters and a draft of 2.65 meters, she achieves an ideal balance of stability and maneuverability. Her twin Caterpillar engines allow her to reach a top speed of 16 knots, ensuring smooth passage across diverse waters.
Spacious, Elegant Living for Guests and Crew

Inside, Serenissima II offers accommodation for ten guests across five luxurious cabins, all made possible by her 499GT volume. She also supports a crew of nine, ensuring exceptional service and onboard comfort.
Key interior features include a main saloon with a balcony and wine cellar, offering the perfect setting for entertaining or relaxing. One of the yacht’s standout features is her expansive sundeck, which the yard notes is “one of the largest in this class of yacht.” The sundeck includes a sunbathing zone, a mini pool, and a sheltered lounge for outdoor enjoyment in any weather.
Future-Forward Shipbuilding at Mengi Yay

According to BOATPro, the Serenissima II is one of six superyachts currently under construction at the Mengi Yay shipyard. This includes two upcoming units from the builder’s flagship Virtus XP model, which are also slated for launch in the coming months. With a growing portfolio and increasing international demand, Mengi Yay continues to be a rising star in the luxury yacht sector.
