Saudi Arabia’s Amaala Yacht Club Set to Redefine Global Yachting Tourism

Saudi Arabia Sets Sail for Global Yachting Recognition with Amaala Yacht Club and Monaco Marina Management Partnership

Saudi Arabia is quickly positioning itself not only as a technological and development hub but also as a rising star in global tourism—this time with its sights firmly set on the luxury yachting sector. With groundbreaking projects like the ski village of TROJENA and the ultra-futuristic linear city, The Line, already drawing worldwide attention, the Kingdom is now charting a bold new course with the Amaala Yacht Club on the Red Sea.

Strategic Partnership Anchors Saudi Yachting Aspirations

The Kingdom’s ambitions are taking a significant leap forward through a new strategic partnership between Red Sea Global’s Amaala Yacht Club and Monaco Marina Management (M3). This collaboration will reinforce the Red Sea’s position as an international luxury yachting destination, bringing Saudi Arabia closer to receiving the prestigious La Belle Classe Destinations designation.

“Red Sea Global’s vision for regenerative tourism aligns closely with our mission to promote sustainable yachting,” said Jose Marco Casellini, CEO of M3. “We’re excited to bring this vision to life and place both Amaala Yacht Club and Saudi Arabia on the global yachting map.”

Monaco’s Expertise Comes Aboard

The Yacht Club of Monaco will play a pivotal role in this initiative by:

  • Establishing a professional sailing academy
  • Organizing world-class yachting events, regattas, and launches
  • Supporting training and recruitment for Saudi marina staff

This ensures that the Amaala Yacht Club will be more than a destination—it will be a center for knowledge, excellence, and local empowerment.

Eye-Catching Design and Global Standards

Designed by renowned architecture firm HKS, the Amaala Yacht Club will cover a 10-hectare basin. The stunning four-story structure will feature:

  • A 120-berth state-of-the-art marina
  • Exclusive condominiums
  • Hosting of major international yachting events
  • Space for launches and regatta competitions

Empowering the Local Workforce

“What excites me the most about this partnership is the opportunity for training and knowledge transfer,” said John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global. “Empowering Saudi citizens has always been central to our regenerative strategy.”

Saudi marina staff are already receiving world-class training in Monaco and Amaala, helping to deliver on the vision of destinations developed by and for the people of Saudi Arabia.

Amaala Phase One to Debut in 2025

This ambitious resort development will welcome its first guests in just over a year. Phase One, scheduled for completion in 2025, includes a cluster of eight resorts totaling 1,200 hotel rooms, in addition to the launch of the Amaala Yacht Club.

With luxury, innovation, sustainability, and education at its core, the Amaala project is set to redefine yachting tourism in the Middle East—and elevate Saudi Arabia as a premier global destination for elite travelers and yachting enthusiasts alike.
